An Evening with Light Cone

Light Cone is one of the world’s foremost institutions dedicated to avant-garde film exhibition and preservation. They maintain one of the largest and most important collections of experimental film in Europe. And on December 21st, programming and collection manager Mariya Nikiforova visits us in Pittsburgh to share 16mm selections from the collection. Celebrate the winter solstice by basking in the warm glow of the following films:

Paolo Gioli – Quando l’occhio trema
Christian Hossner – Nipkow TV
Rose Lowder – Poppies and Sailboats
Akira Mizuyoshi – Printed Sunlight Film
László Moholy-Nagy – Marseille Vieux Port
Tomonari Nishikawa – Tokyo – Ebisu
Sarah Pucill – Blind Light
Françoise Thomas – Systema
