GIANT SCREAM SHOW is a PS+I tradition, one that comes around only once a year during the spookiest of seasons. This year’s edition — our third — has another horrifying line-up guaranteed to make you tremble in your seats.
We’ll kick things off at 8 PM with the return of Flea Market Films’ original, feature-length compilation of horror movie trailers and TV spots: Haunt of the Horror Trailers. The 3nd edition of Haunt is jampacked with a new selection of ephemera and the return of audience favorites. As always, Haunt concludes with a brand new, mysterious Hypnoscope finale that is sure to melt your brain!
After a brief intermission, it’ll be time for John Carpenter’s horror classic The Fog, presented on a rare low-fade scope Super 8 print. Carpenter’s flick charts the slow, strange dissolution of a tiny California beach town in the middle of celebrating its centenary. Inanimate objects begin to spring to life, mutilated corpses start turning up, and — of course — a fog rolls in, bringing along with it the return of everything repressed by small town America.
