After a brief intermission, experience Tod Browning’s classic Freaks as it hasn’t been seen for 75 years! Some background: after the failure of Freaks upon its initial release, MGM sold the rights to film exploitation pioneer Dwain Esper. For decades, the movie was only available as “Dwain Esper’s Freaks.” On Friday the 13th, a time capsule is opened as we experience a complete Esper print of Freaks, scratches and splices and pop and hiss and all!
